Mia's First Ballet Recital!

Mia after the show. She was showered with gifts and flowers as a dancer should be!

Mia had her first ever Ballet Recital last night and it may have been the cutest thing I have ever seen! As a Mom, you can get caught up in the logistics. What are they supposed to where, how do you make a "ballet bun", where are they supposed to be??? I was so busy thinking of logistics, that I had not slowed down enough to realize what a major moment this would be for me as Mom!

When the music started and the girls started to walk out on stage, I got so teary eyed. I was precious. She looked beautiful and did so well! She was not intimidated by a big stage or large crowd, she just did her performance. I could not be more proud of my little ballerina!

Playing with her ballet friends.

Walking in with Daddy. His smile at her is priceless!

"Waiting in the Wings" as they say.
Taking it all in. I loved her costume and can't wait to frame it in a shadow box!

Ballerina Bottoms!

The performace! They danced to a version of "Twinkle, Twinkle little stars." Mia is in the middle.

"Reaching for the stars!"
Proud Mom and Dad after the show!
Her class was great. I love the other Moms and girls! And Miss Robin, her teacher, is SO patient. We have all committed to stay together next semester. Can't wait!

  2. That is just precious. She is absolutely beautiful, just like her momma! Isn't it crazy how the smallest things with your kids makes you cry? I got teary eyed at Lola's first gymnastics class just because she was so excited and had waited so long to start!
