Our beach vacation is over :(. I really had very good intentions of blogging all week long while we were gone, but slow internet and a forgotten power cord made that really difficult. Also, once I dug my toes in the sand for the first time, my turned my brain off and all I could do was enjoy God's creation!

I have a lot to catch up on...Mia officially turned 3 while we were gone and my gardens at home bloomed like crazy. I will do posts on both of those this week as well as beach updates. Let's start with the house that I promised a tour of...

We stayed in a gated beachfront community called Watersound outside of Seaside, FL. It was a beautiful community with resort ammenities, but private residences. The house was fabulous! Four bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, guest house, gourmet kitchen, pool, and beautiful decorator touches throughout. I could not get enough of all of the eye candy! Here are a few of my favorite things from the house...

Let's start with the view from the third floor observatory. It was panoramic and perfect! We even caught a beautiful sunset from here.

Next up Lighting!

Great fixtures, huh? Did you notice the wood ceilings? So cool!
Shelf above the bed staged great for beach living!

A great runner on the second floor. I  scoured peeked for a tag with no luck. I NEED it though! If anyone knows anything about this rug, PLEASE tell me!

Art work:

Cozy spots:

Kitchen/Living Area:
Well staged bookshelves with sconces above.

Copper sink! For you, Betsy...looked beautiful with SS appliances and two tone cabinets!

Beautiful cabinetry and rustic wood backsplash. Island was dark brown. The granite was unpolished and was so beautiful. I wanted it too!

Master bathroom. Great furniture, mirrors, and lighting!

Half bath:
Adorable light fixture and would be SO easy to re-create
I loved the modern glass sink with the rustic edge on the granite.

So cute right? I will probably never actually live in a house like this, but it was really nice while it lasted! Does this inspire anyone to put a little "beach livin' " in your home?

  1. Oh yeah! I'm glad the sink looked good with the SS appliances. It's definitely too late for me to change my mind!!! Glad you guys had a great vacation.
