Funny Fridays - The Walk of Shame

Friday, February 17, 2012

We had a semi-uneventful week. But it was not without and incident or laughter. Mia has been potty trained since right after Tripp was born. She does pretty good most of the time, so I no longer send her with changes of clothes when we go somewhere. Well, after bible study this week, I picked her up wearing these lovely pants!

Nevermind that there were about 4 inches too short or have such a lovely fruit motif. The icing on the cake is "WATERMARK" written plain as day across the tushy! So I get to Mia and say "Mia, did you have an accident?" Mia's response: "Yes I did!" like she had just accomplished a major fete. Oh, help me I am thinking...

So now we have to walk FAR to go get Tripp and then to the car. Mia skipped and sung the whole way...I think just to humble her mother and make sure everyone saw her fabulous pants. I was definitely humbled and pretty tickled by the whole experience!

Anyone else have funnies to share? I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Haha! Love it! I remember one day seeing this sweet little boy about 2.5 years walking down the hall at mops with a long sleeve shirt (winter) and just a diaper and socks. He looked so sad and his mom looked mortified. It happens to them all at time.

  2. I LOVE your blog and design ideas (I know your sister-in-law Mandy. Anyways, another POTTY "funny"...I guess. My 3 year old went to the Men's restroom by himself (I usually take him in the women's so I can help him) but he went before I could catch him. He come out with his pants and undies around his ankles walking towards me. There was an old man on his way to the restroom and said "Bud, you better pull your britches uP!" I was completely mortified, while my friend got a good laugh out of it! Guess I need to work on pulling up pants after having a successful trip to the restroom! Motherhood will keep us humble, that is for sure!
