"Lacking" Lack Table into Kid's Table

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

As part of our craft room transformation, I wanted to make a defined kid area. So I snagged up an Ikea Lack Side table for $7.99! It was the perfect height for little ones! I also grabbed each kid a stool to sit at. While all of it was a really good deal. It was definitely "lacking" in the cute department. Cue Martha Stewart stencils from Michaels and left over paint. I jazzed up the table in just minutes!

My only real DIY tips with this project are to use the stencil adhesive to prevent bleeding under the stencil and polyurethane the heck out of the top. I know my kiddos are going to beat this poor table up, so I needed the stencil to have staying power.

So, what do you think??? Anyone else have other uses for the Lack table?
