My sister's house tour

Sunday, August 19, 2012

You guys are in for a treat! Home design is a passion that my sister and I both share. She has lived in her current house for 1.5 years and has done an incredible job of taking a basic house with a great layout and tuning it into a masterpiece. Here is a tour of her down stairs!

DIY painted herringbone wall!

Yellow high gloss frames create the perfect display for her budding artists.

Yellow painted buffet and vintage dining set painted in homemade chalk paint. I am in love with this!

Eclectic living room with vintage finds and tribal influence.

I have been trying to steal these chairs for years. JEALOUS!

That TV wall may be getting a new treatment while I am here, so stay tuned!

Perfect job layering rugs! It adds so much texture and warmth at the same time!

Picture perfect kitchen! Black, white, and stylish all over! It makes me want to go home and take off some cabinet doors!

Large chalkboard wall in kitchen. Used for preschool, parties and play!

Bright light fixture in the playroom.

Ikea bookshelf and bright orange couch complete the fun and functional play space.

Didn't she do a great job??? When they moved in, the house had old carpet and builder beige walls. My sister saw past all of that and created a beautiful modern space for her family!
