14 Weeks! Holding our breath...

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Mia is 14 weeks old now. I have never felt such a mix of emotions that all come crashing together. We love her more everyday. The deeper our hearts fall in love, the more our heads remind us what could happen. Lilly was 15 weeks old when she passed away. As Mia approaches this milestone, I am flooded with memories of my sweet Lilly and how she will forever be frozen in my mind at this age. Mia is also starting to look more and more like Lilly, which can also cause a flood of emotions. God is in control and holding on to us tightly right now, that I am sure of.

I know we have required so much prayer this year, but I need to ask for it for just a little longer. Please keep Mia in your prayers. That God's protecting hand stay over her. That Richard and I have discernment and wisdom in our decision making, and most importantly, that all Mia is feels is surrounded by love. We don't want her to know how neurotic her parents are!

Mia is such a joy! She loves to smile, is mesmerized by Praise Baby DVD's, and gives the best cuddles and kisses. Here are some pics of our precious girl.

Baby Bounce Library time with our play group. It was so wild, Mia loved it!
Chillin' on the patio at Twisted Root. The red glow is from the red umbrella we were sitting under.
Staring at Praise Baby. She loves it and always talks to the babies on the screen.
Cute tummy time smiles!

Mia and her Dad being silly in the morning.
Mia photo shoot and a nursery sneak peak. It is not finished yet, but you can see a little in the pictures.

I know I am a complete stranger and I have no idea why God places you all on my heart so much other than He wants me to pray...so that's what I do!! Your girls are BOTH beautiful and are so blessed to have you as parents. God's richest blessings on your sweet family.

  12. Jennifer, I too have been following your blog for months. Can't even remember how I found you but it was before Lilly went to be with our Father and I was so excited when y'all announced you were expecting again and thrilled to hear of Mia's arrival. I've never walked your path but have 4 children and can only imagine what it would be like. Please know that I am praying for you and thinking of Miss Mia daily as you covet the prayers of fellow believers to keep her healthy and safe. Blessings to the 3 of you.

  13. I have so much to say but I will do my nest to keep it brief. First, how have you found the time to decorate such a CUTE, FABULOUS, ADORABLE, STYLISH room for Miss Mia? I am BEYOND impressed! Will and Trent's room is in desperate need of a makeover...you may have just found a new way to make $$$!
Next, Miss Mia looks so precious! I can't wait to see you both again. Lastly, but certainly not least, I am praying. I am praying for comfort, PEACE, and protection! If there is ANYTHING I can do (other than pray),to help you through these next few weeks...please let me know! I am sending you a BIG HUG((( )))!
    With MUCH Love, Laura

  19. I am a friend of Jamie Campbells, and I too have been keeping you all in my prayers (especially this month, as it was my "assigned" month). I pray that God will hold each one of you in his arms these next few weeks, and cover every worry, every sweet memory, every painful memory, and all the different anxieties and feelings you are experiencing with his all-encompassing love, and that you will feel him near to you as you take each day one step at at time. Mia is a lucky girl to have such loving, Godly parents. You are a special family, and your story has touched many lives, including my own.
